Dr David Adams
Dental Surgeon with Special Interest in Implants GDC 51416 - BDS Birmingham 1978
Dr Adams been placing implants since 1995 and has helped many hundreds of patients regain their confidence and ability to eat following tooth loss.
Lives have been completely transformed after receiving permanently fixed, fully functional and natural looking teeth when previously dentures have been required.
Dr Adams is constantly updating his knowledge and is particularly excited about the latest guided implant technology that transforms the implant experience into a simple and predictable procedure
Guided implant technology involves the use of a computer generated template that accurately fits into the mouth, facilitating the precise and safe placement of implants. It is not necessary to cut and raise the soft tissues and no sutures are required so healing is much more comfortable than after conventional implant treatment.
Because the procedure is entirely planned in advance, surgery is much quicker and without the potential complications that can arise with free hand surgery. Often, implants can be placed in less than fifteen minutes and even multiple implants can be placed in less than an hour.
Since the procedure is minimally invasive there is usually very little discomfort and swelling after treatment and a return to normal activity can be expected much more quickly that when conventional surgery is used.
To summarise, computer guided implant surgery offers
1. Much reduced surgery time
2. Safer implant placement
3. Much less pain and swelling after treatment
