  • Bhavna Patel

    Dentist GDC - 76139 -- BDS 1999, MFDS RCS (Eng) 2004

    After graduating from Sheffield University in 1999 I completed my Vocational Training in Loughborough, following which I worked as a Senior House Officer in Maxillofacial Surgery at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. I have been based at Oasis Dental Care since 2002 as well as working in the Surrey Special Care Dentistry Service. During this time I have gained further post-graduate qualifications, which have led to attaining membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I have also completed an advanced cosmetic dentistry programme and recently the Certificate in Restorative Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute. I worked as a part-time clinical assistant to a Specialist Orthodontist for almost 6 years, during which time I have increased my knowledge and experience in orthodontics; and am able to offer a range of treatments from clear aligners, Inman Aligners, 6 Month smiles and Fastbraces at the practice. Other interests I have nurtured over the past few years with further education and experience include Implant restoration and acupuncture. I believe in providing quality dental care with prevention being an area of key focus.

    I qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital with a BSc and BDS in 1996. I have gained experience in all aspects of dentistry whilst working in the hospital as a House Officer and Vocational Training. I am part of a study group and am strongly committed to continual professional development to update and learn new techniques.

    I have worked in general practice for fifteen years, ten years of which have been in Private Practice.

    I am married with two children and my passions are the arts, music, watching movies and travel.

  • Anita Hawksworth

    Anita has over sixteen years experience in dentistry, having graduated from the University of Leeds in 1999. Since then she has spent time working in hospital performing surgical treatment, but has mainly devoted her time to general practice where she enjoys the daily interaction with patients.

    She has completed post-graduate qualifications in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry and her special interest is in the area of Implant Dentistry. She has completed a Masters Degree in the subject and uses these skills to provide her patients with confident smiles.

    Anita has an out-going personality, excellent communication skills and a compassionate nature. She is married with three young children who keep her busy! In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit and she regularly swims, jogs and visits the gym.

    Since qualifying as a Dental Surgeon in Veracruz, Mexico in 2002 I have worked in the NHS, Community and Private dentistry in the UK and abroad. Before joining Oasis in 2012 I was working as an NHS Dentists for five years in Hampshire and Nottinghamshire. I like to keep up to date by reading Dental Journals and attending courses regularly. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and I aim to provide my patients with high quality dental treatment, making my patient’s experience as comfortable as possible.

  • Eli Baran

    Eli qualified at Guy's Hospital in 1986 and subsequently attained the Diploma in Forensic Odontology.

    During the last 30 years he operated as a General Practitioner across Southeast England , with spells in Southern and West Africa.

    He has a strong interest in ensuring that patient's are encouraged to understand and look after their teeth and gums as a whole unit, in order to provide the best possible standard of dentistry which will endure and the patients can be proud of. He has developed and interest in jaw joint issues, snoring problems and is experienced in all aspects of Practice, including home whitening, cosmetic work and provision of dentures , including the modern flexible acrylic dentures. He has worked in liaison with the specialist disciplines over many years and takes an holistic view of the care of our mouths and ensures that his patients have a good understanding of the many and varied options available nowadays in order that they may make the best choice for themselves with the appropriate amount of good and relevant information.

    He is a family man and enjoys getting to know his patients and their families and building up long and trusted relationships , with humour and knowledge and information combined, as well as care and attention to the patient's wishes.

  • Tracey Barratt

    Hygienist GDC - 5068 -- CEB Dip Dent Hygiene 1996

    Tracey first joined the Woking practice as a Dental Nurse, working for Mr Bradbury in 1990. The left to train as a Dental Hygienist in the Army in Aldershot and qualified at the RADC in 1996. Then returned to work at the Woking Retreat practice. Tracey love of dental hygiene fuels her desire of getting to know her patients and providing individual care for their specific needs. She is passionate about patient education and helping people understand the importance of complete oral care.

    Outside of work Tracey enjoys travelling with her two daughters and to help as an Assistant Guide leader and becoming involved in many wild, weird and wacky activities with them.

    Lead Dental Nurse GDC - 106910

    Julie has been with us at Woking The Retreat for over fifteen years, having previously served with The Royal Army Dental Corps in various locations around the world. Her efficient, calm demeanour makes her the perfect candidate for lead nurse, and she has overall responsibility for cross infection prevention and control within the practice. She enjoys being part of the team and promoting good oral care to our patients. Outside of work she enjoys socialising with friends, spending time with family and keeping fit by going to the gym.

    Neha is the most recent member of our Nurse team. Neha is a valued member of the team and is an extremely competent friendly nurse, She loves dentistry and fine art. In her spare time Neha enjoys painting, photography and visiting galleries. We think it is important in the practice of dentistry to possess artistic skills to understand the aesthetic difference a smile can make.

    Tom joined us in 2015 as a Dental Nurse. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry but most of all, enjoys building a friendship with his patients. He is a friendly enthusiastic member of the team and tries to put nervous patients minds at ease. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, swimming and more recently learning to horse ride.

    Emma joined the team in 2014. She enjoys meeting and assisting patients at the practice on a daily basis and is always happy to answer any queries you may have. Outside of work Emma is a social butterfly, she enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as walking her dog.

    Sharin is one of our friendly receptionists, working alongside the dentists and hygienists, she is the first point of contact for our patients. Every day is different in a dental practice, and Sharin enjoys the variety of her work – particularly when patients are happy with the results of their treatment.
