• Dr Alan McCarthy

    Dentist BDS NUI (Irel) 1986 DPDS (Brist) 1996 GDC No.61233

    Dr McCarthy qualified from University College Cork, Ireland in 1986. He moved to England and worked as an associate in High Wycombe and Gravesend. He then moved to Sherborne in Dorset in September 1989 and became a partner at Market View Dental Practice. During that time, Dr McCarthy has maintained a keen interest in postgraduate education. He completed the diploma of Postgraduate Dental Studies at Bristol in 1996. He has also completed the BOULD course in Orthodontics for Clinical Assistants and worked at Dorset County Hospital for four years. 

    To add to his repertoire, Dr McCarthy completed both restorative and aesthetic yearly courses under Paul Tipton at Manchester, one of the leading restorative dentists in the country. Finally, in November 2010, he completed the implant course at Bath Spa under Dermot McNulty to further his interest in dental implants. When he is not busy with family commitments, Dr McCarthy enjoys playing golf, squash and football. He is keen to follow the fortunes of the Irish rugby team.

  • Dr Linda Overton-Fox

    Dentist DSS (Sthlm) 1994, GDC No.77305

    Linda Overton-Fox qualified from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden in 1994. After practicing in Sweden for six years, Linda moved to England in 2000. In 2001, Linda joined the practice and has continued with her professional development by taking an advanced restoration course by Dr S Sidelsy in 2006/2007. 

    More recently she is taking courses to help patients with benign headaches, jaw aches and migraines caused by tooth/jaw clenching. Linda also has a real interest in working with nervous patients to help them overcome their dental fears.

  • Elodie Broze

    Dentist GDC - 179725 -- LDS(Leige) 2007

    Dr Elodie Broze qualified from the university of Liege Belgium in 2007 and went on to achieve a Masters in advanced dentistry in 2009. She moved to wales in 2010. She worked in the beautiful town of Aberystwyth until she relocated to south Somerset at the end of 2013. She joined the Sherborne practice in June 2016.

    Elodie enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. she has a special interest in aesthetic dentistry and has followed courses at the lonDec Kings college London.

    Providing a relaxed and caring environment for her patients is a priority for Dr Broze and she tries to make all patients feel more at ease, especially if they feel anxious about treatment.

  • David Van As

    Dentist GDC - 84231 -- BChD Stell 1991

    David graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiology from Stellenbosch University, South Arica in 1986 and gained is dental degree, BChD in 1991.

    David worked in 5 Sherborne years ago as a general dentist, he left to complete his MSc in Oral Surgery which he successfully obtained with merit in 2013. Being a firm believer in further education, he subsequently completed his MSc periodontology degree with distinction in Germany in November 2016.

    David provides enhanced oral surgery and periodontology clinical services and is currently enrolled in the MClinDent Periodontology degree in London.


  • Jacquie Fergusson

    Dental Hygienist CEB Cert in Dental Hygiene 1976, GDC No.1386

    Jacquie qualified in 1976 at the University of Bristol and through commitment and interest has a wealth of experience in the fields of dental health promotion, preventative care and management of periodontal disease.

    Jacquie likes to stay up-to-date with current thinking in dentistry and regularly attends regional meetings hosted by the BDHA. She listens to her patient and builds a mutual trust. Her consultations are patient-focused and Jacquie will identify the customer’s needs and present them with a specific treatment plan. Outside of dentistry, Jacquie enjoys walking in the countryside, travelling and healthy living. CEB 

  • Caitlin Miller

    Dental Hygienist Dental Hygiene and Therapy (HONS) 2010 GDc No.187740

    Caitlin Miller qualified in 2010 from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in hygiene and therapy. She is always patient-focused working with the patient to achieve the best results possible. Caitlin also has experience of working with the more nervous patient to increase confidence in the dental environment and particularly enjoys working with children.

    Caitlin regularly attends local lectures and reads monthly journals in order to keep up-to-date with current legislations and techniques. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano and reading.

  • Dawn Michelle Williams

    Dental Hygienist Registered under S36C of the Dentists Act 1984 2009 | GDC Reg No. 183150

    Michelle originates from Texas where she qualified in 2003 at Texas State Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene.

    Her passion is nutrition and she believes in a more holistic approach to dental diseases, i.e. putting the mouth back into the body. She has a reputation of having a very calming manner, is excellent with the nervous patient and can offer varying forms of anaesthetic, thus making the hygiene experience more comfortable. She is a member of the British Society of Periodontology and the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists.

    Michelle enjoys participating in amateur dramatics, loves all kinds of music, taking long walks with her husband and dogs, cooking fresh, clean, healthy food and reading extensively both about nutrition as well as fiction. At the moment Michelle is undertaking a certification in Primal/Palaeolithic nutrition and health.
