The Manchester practice of Oasis Dental Care used to be situated in Chapel walks. In November 2014 we moved across to our current location on St Ann’s Square.
The area now occupied by St. Ann's Square was once known as Acresfield. The earliest record of this field, which comprised four large 'Lancashire acres', occurs in 1222 when the regent for Henry III granted a licence to Robert Greslet or Grelly, the first Norman baron to settle in 'Mamcestre'. Grelly was lord of the manor, and requested a licence to hold an annual fair on the eve and feast of St. Matthew. In 1708, the Act of Parliament that granted that St. Ann's Church might be built also stipulated that a space 30 yards wide should be reserved for the fair. This became St. Ann's Square, named after the reigning monarch and Lady Ann Bland.
The practice is located in a beautiful old building that is partly listed & therefore remains relatively unchanged on the outside since it was built in the late 1800’s due to the whole site being a conservation area. The inside however, houses 6 light & airy surgeries as well as extensive up to date equipment that allows our clinicians to perform the treatments we offer in a comfortable & safe environment.
These treatments include Oral surgery & Implant placements & restoration, restorative & cosmetic work, Invisalign, Cfast & Quick Straight Teeth, whitening take home kits & we have hygienists who will take care of your teeth & gums.
Manchester St Ann’s clinic is open from 8am – 7pm four days per week to ensure we are accessible to all our patients current & potential to provide treatment at a time that suits their busy lifestyle. Due to the location we cannot offer parking; although with such great transport links into the city by way of train (Victoria Station being the closest station), bus & indeed tram (tram lines are currently being expanded to cover Cross St) & so our patients have no difficulty attending the practice.
