George Au is our principal dentist; he qualified from Guys Hospital London in 1980. Here’s a few words about his life in dentistry:

In 1980-1986 I took up an associate dentist position firstly in Tonbridge and then in Tunbridge Wells. I used my opportunity in this setting to actively participate in the programs of the postgraduate dental centre.

In 1986 I moved to Folkestone and purchased the current practice which was located in Bouverie Square. To make way for the new Asda site development we relocated to the present site at 16 Shorncliffe Road.

I was approved as a Dental Vocational Trainer by the Deanery from 1988-2004. Since then, our last trainee, Miss Wood, has stayed with the practice as my associate dentist. I was a member of the Local Dental Committee until April 2006.

I enjoy giving people high quality care and have an interest in endodontics and cosmetic treatment. I enjoy learning and believe in life-long continuous development of my skills. My other interests are classical music and sports, especially badminton. I am a qualified level 2 badminton coach.
