    Dentist Bachelor of Dentistry (BDS Sheffield 2001)

    Zoe graduated from Sheffield in 2001 and completed her dental training in Brighton in 2003. She is working to complete a postgraduate MSc at the prestigious Kings College London over the next few years. She has worked in a number of dental practices developing a passion for all types of restorative dentistry, including root canal treatments, tooth-coloured fillings, crowns, bridges, and cosmetic treatments such as tooth straightening and tooth whitening. She has a particular interest in advances in modern dentistry such as “Minimal Intervention” where as much tooth as possible is preserved when restoring. She also offers a discreet cosmetic service to patients wishing to enhance their features with anti-wrinkle treatments.

    Over the years Zoe has developed a good rapport with her patients, with a particular emphasis on putting nervous patients at ease and offering gentle dental treatment of a very high standard.

    Outside of her clinical expertise she assisted Professor Brian Millar with a series of high-end glossy textbooks for advanced dentistry (published by Elsevier), and has enjoyed writing articles for dental magazines in the past.

  • Eleanor Purbrick

    Eleanor graduated from the prestigious Barts & London in 2010 followed by a further year in The Royal College of Surgeons in 2011.

    Having entered dentistry following a degree in psychology and four subsequent years specialising in clinical psychology, Eleanor has found that effective communication and an empathic approach is essential in practice. She enjoy working with patients to educate them in order to improve their oral health in the context of preventative dentistry. She excels at putting patients at ease whilst delivering high quality care.

    Eleanor enjoys working with children and their families, using a holistic approach to dentistry to investigate attitudes, routines and habits with the aim of prevention and stabilisation of dental caries. When treatment is required, Eleanor involves the patient in the decision-making process with the aim of making them feel as relaxed as possible, empowered and motivated to achieve good dental health.

  • Dr Asrar Ahmed

    Asrar is dentist with special interest in oral surgery. He offers removal of wisdom teeth and other difficult extractions painlessly. His approach to dentistry is very informal, making your dental experience as comfortable as possible in a relaxed environment.  He works part time in the Oral & Maxillofacial surgery department of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, Eastbourne. He has experience of over 20 years in the field of oral surgery. He has been working in the South East region for the last 15 years. As part of his oral surgery training, he has worked in The Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, District General Hospital, Eastbourne and The Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford.

    Asrar is a fellow and master of International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He is a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (FDS) and Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP) of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD). He has undertaken extensive training in dental implants and keeps his knowledge up-to-date by regularly attending national and international courses and conferences. He is director of ITI East Sussex study club and registered ITI speaker for the continuing professional development of the dental professionals working in the field of implant dentistry.

    Out of the practice, Asrar enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He loves listening to music and watching cricket!
