    Paul has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years, starting in 1987. He maintains a healthy interest in post-graduate dental education and enjoys carrying out advanced restorative work and smile makeovers.

  • Dr Andrew Greewood

    Dentist BDS. DGDP (UK) RCS.Dip.Imp.Dent.RCS (Eng) FFGDP(UK) | GDC reg no. 61152

    Dr. Greenwood is a Fellow of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners at the Royal College of Surgeons England, and a Fellow of the British Society of Implantologists. He is a member of the international team for Implantology, Association of Dental Implantology and the British Society of General Dental Surgery.

    He holds the Diploma in Implant Dentistry with Advanced Certificate from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This qualification is the gold standard in postgraduate implant dentistry.

    Dr. Greenwood has been a tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons Implant Diploma Course helping to educate other dentists in this exciting field. He travels extensively to conferences and courses to share his knowledge and continue his professional development in the dynamic field of implant dentistry.

  • Dr David Row

    David enjoys all aspects of general practice and in 1995 completed the diploma in General Dental Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons. He is a member of the British Dental Association, the British Society of Periodontology and the Association of Dental Implantology.

  • Dr James Bough

    Dentist BDS Ncle 2007 | GDC Reg No. 114269

    James qualified from Newcastle University with Merit in Clinical Dentistry in 2007, having been awarded the John Hopkins prize for his support for fellow colleagues.

    James has completed dental implant courses at the Sheffield Implant Centre, Newcastle Dental Hospital and at the Campbell Academy.  To complement this training, James has travelled to the highly respected 'Urban Regeneration Institute' in Budapest, to undertake advanced training in bone and soft tissue regeneration.

    James has also travelled to Munich to train at the world-renowned Hurzeler and Zuhr Dental Education Institute and underwent training on microsurgical techniques for soft tissue treatment and regeneration.

    James completed the two-year Diploma in Restorative Dentistry, which provides the skills and knowledge for advanced treatments for the most complex of cases.

    James has also completed the Core Course in Conscious Sedation at Newcastle Dental Hospital, the Inman Aligner course and Six Months Smile course and will provide orthodontic treatment with clear aligners. He has carried out a number of facial aesthetic courses in order to provide 'wrinkle relaxing injections', 'dermal fillers' and 'Genuine Dermaroller therapy'.

    James is a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK), The Royal College of Surgeons and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). 

    He has previously held an Honorary Clinical Lecturer position at the Newcastle Dental Hospital and previously lectured to dentists on behalf of the Northern Deanery (the Postgraduate Institute for Dentists).

  • Dr Tim Peach

    Dentist MFGDP(UK) 2003 BDS Ncle 1991 | GDC reg no. 66579

    Tim qualified from Newcastle Dental School in 1991, then worked in general practice in Bedlington, Durham and South Shields before starting in Wallsend where he bought into a practice in 1997.

    He has been committed to continuing postgraduate education, especially in his field of interest, endodontics (root fillings). He has lectured on this subject in the North East since 2002 and completed an extended endodontic course in 2007, as well as training in Switzerland and Santa Barbara, USA. After passing his MFGDP, he was a regional tutor for this qualification from 2006-2010. He is currently taking a modular course in restorative dentistry.

  • Dr Andrew Bath

    Dentist BDS (Ncle 2012) | GDC reg no. 231116

    Andy joined the practice in 2018 after qualifying from Newcastle University.

    He has completed courses for mild orthodontics including Quick Straight Teeth and Invisalign, allowing him to carry out fixed (clear brackets), removable and invisible aligner orthodontic cases. 

    He has also completed a one year implant course in London allowing him to undertake dental implants. In a profession that is continually evolving, he is committed to continuing professional development and regularly attends courses to keep up to date with modern and innovative techniques.

  • Rob Banks

    Dentist - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon BDS (Newcastle 1992) FDS RCS(Eng), MBBS, MRCPS(Glas), FRCS OMFS(Ed), | GDC reg no. 68014

    Rob studied dentistry in Newcastle, and qualified in 1992. During his dental undergraduate training he had already found his vocation in oral and maxillofacial surgery and went on to study Medicine, qualifying from Newcastle Medical School in 1999.

    Rob worked in general dental practice giving him valuable experience of all aspects of dentistry outside the hospital setting. His surgical training took him through general and vascular surgery, accident and emergency and orthodontics, before returning to oral & maxillofacial surgery, becoming a consultant at Sunderland Royal Hospital in 2009.

    Within the hospital setting, Rob has a particular interest in the correction of facial deformity, minimally invasive salivary gland surgery and the implant rehabilitation of patients after cancer surgery. These interests transfer across to all aspects of implant and oral surgery we offer here at Bupa Dental Care.

    Within the field of implants, Rob has a particular interest in 'immediate loading' of single or multiple 'teeth in a day' as well as grafting and sinus lifting where needed. Rob is also able to provide full mouth reconstruction where there is insufficient bone for conventional implants, by using zygomatic implants.
