Rajiv is UK trained and qualified in both Dentistry and Medicine at The Royal London Hospital. After completing these he then went onto the prestigious South Coast programme for general surgical training and specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Training.
He was awarded first place in competition for the National Intercollegiate Head and Neck specialist Fellowship which he undertook in Birmingham, a world renowned Head and Neck unit, whilst also taking the opportunity to visit other Centres of excellence like Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.
He has been involved in over 50 peer reviewed publications. Rajiv is currently clinical Lead for the Oral and Maxillofacial unit on the Isle of Wight and leads the multi-disciplinary team in Skin Cancer. He is an examiner for the exit fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as sitting on the National Council of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; a position elected by his peers nationally.
Rajiv is also an Editorial Board member of the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has previously been an Advanced Trauma and Life Support Instructor and has just been accepted to the internationally renowned AO UK as a faculty member. He is also a faculty member of the prestigious European Head and Neck Course and organises the International Head and Neck update and Face courses. Rajiv specialties encompass Head and Neck Cancer, Skin cancer, Salivary gland surgery including minimal access, Facial Trauma, facial pain and oral surgery.
