Dental Hygienist (GDC Reg No. 5181) EDH 1997 Additional qualification: ID Block course Temporary dressing course Impression Taken course Radiography.
Originally from County Kildare, Ireland, Dee first came to England in 1989 where she later trained and qualified as a Dental Hygienist with commendation in Guy's Dental Hospital. She spent five years in Harley Street and in 2002 joined our specialist practice in Thayer Street.
Dee is a highly trained dental hygienist with a special interest in looking after patients with complex restorative and implant treatment. Over the last 13 years, she has worked closely with Specialist in Endodontics, Implants and Periodontics.
This has broadened her knowledge and clinical acumen in managing gum disease. Her meticulous approach in recording, then monitoring gum conditions, allows appropriate referrals, if required, within the specialist network. Careful analysis of the appointment duration for hygiene visits has shown that better care can be provided in maintaining gum health with a 45 minute appointment. It also gives adequate time for maintaining strict cross infection control. Dee also undertakes hygiene treatment using local anaesthetic, if required, and fissure sealants on children's teeth.
