Dr Adrian Binney

Adrian Binney qualified from Cardiff Dental School at the University of Cardiff in 1987 and gained the year prize in orthodontics. Following several house positions in restorative dentistry and oral maxillofacial surgery where he gained valuable surgical training and training in restorative dentistry he returned in 1994 to Cardiff to complete a Masters Degree in Periodontology.

During this period of hospital training, he completed and was awarded Fellowship in Dental Surgery in the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow in 1993. This is the highest qualification in surgical dentistry in the UK. In 1997, he was invited to join The Parade team and has since continued his training in dental implantology with training in the UK, Germany and the USA on several occasions. In 2000, following recognition of his extensive training and post graduate qualifications, he was awarded specialist status in periodontics by the General Dental Council. He is the past chairman of the Cardiff’s South Wales British Dental Association and Wales’ past representative and board member of the Association of Dental Implantology, a National UK body representing 2,000 dentists.

Adrian has been a Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Cardiff Dental Hospital for some years now teaching the postgraduate dentists in Dental Implantology at both a Diploma and Masters Degree level. He is also invited to speak at various meetings throughout the UK presenting individual lectures and full day surgical training courses for postgraduate dentists in dental implantology and surgical periodontology Adrian’s clinical practice involves the treatment of all aspects of dental implantology, restorative dentistry and aesthetic dentistry and his particular area of expertise lies within the treatment management of periodontal disease.
