If you have missing teeth and are looking for a long-lasting solution, our expert team of dentists can provide the best possible outcome to meet your needs. Dentures are one of our many options for replacing missing teeth – you can read more information about this treatment below.
What are dentures?
Dentures are usually removable, and are expertly created to appear like natural teeth. These 'teeth' are attached to an acrylic or chrome (metal) base, which sits comfortably inside your mouth.
What are the different types?
Depending on how many teeth you need to replace, your dentist can prepare either a full or partial set of dentures, to fit exactly to your mouth.
It may take a little while to get used to wearing your dentures, however our expert team will be able to advise on how best to maintain them, including tips on keeping them clean and well-fitting.
Maintaining your dentures
Just as you'd care for your natural teeth, it's essential to ensure you keep up a good dental hygiene routine with your dentures. They should be brushed regularly as you would with your normal teeth, as well as using specific denture cleaners.
You might also want to consider using a dental adhesive to help to keep your replacement teeth in place - this is something one of our expert dentists will be able to discuss with you, to help ensure your teeth are as comfortable and stable as possible.
There are many possible options for replacing missing teeth, including dental implants and bridges; however a denture has the added benefit of being removable should you prefer to have this option.
