Dental Hygienist (GDC Reg No. 109825) Dip Dent Hygiene and Therapy (Kings College London)
Eleanor began as a dental nurse in 1999 and realised she had found a career she could really care about. She took her qualification and worked her way to head nurse, but still wanted more. Eleanor applied to Kings College London, and qualified in 2007 with a merit in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. She also received the Dentsply Dental Therapist of the year award.
She provides a variety of treatments from simple scale and polish to more complex full mouth disinfection, using local anesthetic if needed. Eleanor is confident in her ability and finds great satisfaction in making beautiful smiles. She enjoys her job very much and her patients say it shows, which is a huge compliment. Eleanor has been called ‘gentle’, ‘steady of hand’ and ‘thorough’. Her treatments have been described as ‘calm’, ‘relaxing’ and one patient even said ‘tranquil’.
Eleanor enjoys welcoming new patients as well as working with established ones to provide a non-judgmental approach to dental hygiene. Being a one-time nervous patient herself, she understands the anxieties a dental appointment can create, but believes working together can achieve great results.
